shapes of sand

my thoughts found roots today
in a humble piece of paper,
yellowed by the passing of time
and graced by the jewelry
of your words’ echo:

“what is the shape of the sands of time?”
you asked,
pinning my gaze against the fluid essence of our being.

i therefore pondered for a while,
only to see that
we ARE time.
our feelings are the sand,
hidden beneath the mixture of clay and ignorance.

we are time’s limbs, time’s DNA.
and the shape of sands,
as flexible as it is,
has never known a more solid form
than US.

  1. loved the opening stanza, and the piece drifted peacefully in time

Beautiful, the “music” I hear when I read this. And the longer I read you the more I learn you have no definite structure. It’s always more interesting to read someone you never know where they’ll take you. Very well done..

  3. Jamie Dedes says:

Gently resounds with truth, courts the ear. Bravo!
