beacons

every now and then, when time blinks,
my heartbeats kneel,
and on the fern leaves i rest the kaleidoscope of sheens
bursting out from my eye globes.

too full my sight is with beauty then,
and too grateful my mind
for the blessing of how too small a being i feel.

silica morphed into sunshine
covers me – covers all,
and then, my feet dressed in essence of light
move on.

  1. lovely details in dissecting a singular, magical moment. One senses both awe and humility in your words. Nicely expressed…

Lili, this is just THE BEST I have read from you since finding your blog! Breathtakingly phrased to express such essentials to our well-being as having a “kneeling heart” and “too grateful my mind
for the blessing of how too small a being i feel.” Such blessed, indeed. Thank you for giving me another very important reason to be thankful today!

  3. haha I like the use of the non-pretentious “i” 😉

you have a brilliant way with words – a poetic sensibility that not everyone has – you and the words are one on the page – brilliant stuff as always! I have found a way to collect all these wordpress sites now too so shall add yours at last!
